of course studing hard is really important to get knowledge, and there are many things we are not aware and dont know until we learn in the school. while at the same time we can lean a lot of things through experiences, and a lot of experiences with other people such as family and friends make our lives rich and meaningful, so reading textbook is not only way to learn something. i think the most impotant thing to enjoy your life without regrets is to find your best balance of both of these studying and playing. when i was in high school, i really enjoyed my life at the time, and i think my old friends who shared the time are really precious. so i feel pity on this author, but it is wrong to blame his parents. he should care about his parents even though they forced him to study hard and he couldnt have enough time with friends and family. his parents just thought studing is good for his future, and they wanted him to have good life because they love him. not to be a person like him, the balance is important.
