It seems the picture you have picked is more meaningful than your essay thesis.
Read those words in the poster, and think about whether it is connected with "American Dream" you intended to write about.
Look at the ironic tones of those words and also that funny-looking statue of liberty with sunglasses and red stockings, holding microphone. Do you think it is about what you are going to write?
