Love in the time of no time (Lei Gao)

With evoluting of the society, internet become an indispensable part of our life. The author analyzes dating online from different ponits of views. Nowadays, people are getting busier and busier, the time spent on love and communication is less. Previously parts of people tried to date online or developed their love there. The previous tendency already has become reality now. some office workers and college students spent their time on dating online, even high school students. However, my personal idea is to separete this virtual love from real love.

One of the reasons of trying to date online is that most people don't want to pay much attention on LOVE. I don't agree that there is some limits to find a proper girl or boy in reality. Although many dating websites provide more choices based on wider regions or various identities, you can also find who you love beside you. It is hard to build up true relations in such a short time. people do not want to spend more time on a specific relation. Usually, you add this person as a friend, maybe you are sexing with him/her in a week, and then end up the relation on second day. Is that true love? Absolutely not! The author also mentions "A lot of times that the spark is just lust anyway."

Another reason is that people usually lie online. No one knows who ,how, the person on the other side of internet. As the author mentioned, in order to provide others a better first impression, people sometimes lie.

Paying too much attentions online will make ones rely on internet. It is important to trust the reality of life.

What if I spend the time online on real life love (Leslie)

You are absolutely right. People say they are busy and have no time to look for true love in real life, but they spend hours and hours online and chat with a virtual 'love'. Sometimes, I think if we spend all those hours on a real life lover, is it more possible that we will finally find the true love.

Especially when no one are sure about whether the other is just an illusion or just a big "lie".

What if, as JunHyung said, there are some rules or requirements to make the online dating more sincere? since, as you said, online dating does make people meet more people in a wider scope. Will it be a future "reality"?

Thx! (By Lei Gao)
Rules and Requirements can not be perfect. Internet is a place of freedom. For instance, we can delete a friend online by click mouse easily. Can we delete a friend like that in reality? So, whatever the rules are, the "reality" is different from our real society.

However, with the developing of internet, the system will be better. The future "reality" may be the mixture of social life and life online.
