Alone Together(Zeyi Hu)

Alone together, a very interesting article and it describes people’s loneliness in New York. As the one of the most modern city in the world, New Yorkers are working for their jobs, working for their departments. So under this kind of situation, more and more people are tend to be lonely and separated. Most of them choose to handle the high pressure by himself, solve the problem by himself. I think this is a social phenomenon and it is a inevitable result of the development of the economy, because with the growth of the economy, especially for the developed country, people are tend to be more competitive. As a result, most of them spend too much on their working, training and studying. Relatively, they will have less time to communication or run a relationship. Therefore, I think it is inevitable.

If inevitable, then enjoy it like New Yorkers (Leslie)

If, as you said, loneliness is inevitable because of the fast pace of society and severity of competition. Then the only way to survive is to live with it, and find some way to enjoy it. That's just what New Yorkers are doing.
