If he was moving toward you, what do you imagin? what do you think he is going to? what do you feel? I think that most people would think that they are afraid of him or he seems like he is going to do something bad. Even though he was just walking toward them or asking something, we have already judged what he would be. I think that prejudice and stereotype can be the thing that kill people.
How mean it is to judge someone because of their appearance.
maybe most people know that and have at least one experience about that.
if we are treated that way, we would feel really bad. then, we say that we should not ignore or judge other because of their looking. However, have you ever ignored someone or treated someone with prejudice that you already have while you are saying that?

I absolutely agree your idea.
That was most impresses part when we talking about black man and public space. Actually i had that experience. 1 years ago i walked around the park that was about 5pm.at that time 5 black guy came to me and said something. i couldn't understand, because i was so afraid. I was freeze. later i recognize they just want to play basket ball with me.
Why I felt afraid, why i was freeze. I am not a racist. They didn't do anything to me. Probably we already have small biased. This biased isn't come from our experience. It might be come from someone's slander because we didn't know about them. If we try to know them, our recognition will change. Also they didn't get that misunderstand.
I agree with you as well. We are biased if we still think that we are afraid of the black men or the black men seem like they are going to do something bad. We should not ignore or judge as their outward appearance.

How can we don't feel afraid of such a big guy
As a womaan, it's always more than understandable that she would be afraid of any guy in sight with such an outlooking. However, sometimes I am thinking that actually all of us have some kind of fears toward other people, no matter what color or what size they are. That's the sense of self-protection to the potential dangers around us.
That's why I am thinking that people are wrong from the moment that they set up a shell of protection around them.
This is worse than prejudice, because it is to everyone, not just to a certain group of people.
