Jing: "I was shamed for my silence"

oh I was shamed for my silence and i have carried that shame across oceans, ................I will never feel better about it. Like my reckless angry lst words to the one who took his own life.

After the elder woman's severe judgement, She was shocked seriously which lead to the vocal paralysis. But the resoult can not be changed even how regret she was which reflected the main idea of the " long overdue" . To my opinion, many misunderstanding was formed not only by the person who gave the subjective opinion , Sometimes the misunderstanding also could come from the incorrect silence. It could be understood that a person has his own opinion after different kinds of information resource and personal experience which is not objective. But most of people would be willing to listen to other's sound. the problem is that if you feel the opposite point of view which is incorrect, what you should do is to explain the truth and tell them the real world.

This kind of problem will not only appear in the culture problem but also appear in the current socity, when we are the employees in a company, don't be afraid to express your fantastic idea, the whole society need the surprising reaction. Although with the develpment of the globalization of the world, people have more interaction with each other from the five continents which will shorten the national boundaries. And I believe that the incorrect discrimination will be reduced throught the tight communication. The best way to approach is to share and express your opinion. When I come to america, the first impression from my roomate to china is only ancient that was really impressed, but now she knew a lot from me about china in terms of morden and technoligic. If you don't stand up and open you throat, the "long overdue will exist forever.

Totally agree your opinion. However,in this case communication couldn't work on everyone who has discrimination.I think the another way to solve this problem is that improve yourself and your country. Improving your ability is the best weapon to protect yourself.

Leslie: Impressive comments

Very impressing deep thinking over the concerning issue. And you are right sometimes the misunderstanding comes from both stereotypes with bias and irresponsible silence, which are destructive. The only way to remove the misunderstanding or social barriers among people is to communicate, and of course, as what Xiaoshu said, to make yourself stronger, though it might take time. I highly appraise your quote and comment.

Some language problems:
1. In the first sentence, when you first use pronoun "she", it definitely doesn't refer to the elder woman, but the writer.
2. Ill collocations: "listen to other's sound"? (other's voice), "tell them the real world"? (tell them the truth, or tell them about the real world), "shorten ... social boundaries"? (demolish social barriers), "tight communication"? (tight interrelationship, or smooth communication).
3. Odd words: "technoligic"?
