The opinion of writer is right: Every violent act sets us back. However, why some country did not stop using act of war to attain benefit yet. Why Bin Laden made the 911 tragedy? Is he the king of the terrorism?
I think the essential problem is appetency. In our life, we have many "wars" in everywhere. People with people, group with gorup, company with company, country with country. In all ages, it did not stop yet. How will be in the future? Nobody knows.
The oli conjuncture, America must gained the whole behoof, however how many people wake up to the inbeing. I saw many pictures on the Int, the war set Irap back about 15 years least. School, hospital, factory were destroyed.
When violent act will be stopped? My answer is never.

It's so sad that you think violent act will never stop, though I cannot deny what you said might be right.
Look at the picture with all the tanks, people and residential buildings in the same shot, it's really hard to say the violent act is far away from us.
When people in Iraq are crying under the bombing, they are the same human being as those people who are crying here in America over the dead in 9.11. Listen to the bells tolling over the memorial site of 9.11, they are also tolling for people in Iraq, and for you.
