Topic: Car crash difference between China and USA
Resource:
1. Marie Hasselberg and Lucie Laflamme, "How do car crashes happen among young drivers aged 18–20 years? Typical circumstances in relation to license status, alcohol impairment and injury consequences" Accident Analysis & Prevention, Volume 41, Issue 4, July 2009, Pages 734-738
The article is about the Five clusters were identified, typical of one or some specific crash type(s): single-vehicle in sparsely populated areas, front-on collisions, crashes at dawn or at dusk, turning, cars of later model, crashes in urban areas and speed limits below 50 km/h. Clusters differ in consequences and in the proportions of alcohol impaired drivers involved but not regarding proportions of novice drivers. Unlicensed drivers were found in excess in some clusters (especially single and night time crashes).
I probably use it to show the different types of car crashes and show in different types the different reasons maybe culture or something else in China and USA.
2. Lafont, Sylviane, Bernard Laumon, Catherine Helmer, Jean-Francois Dartigues, and Colette Fabrigoule. "Driving cessation and self-reported car crashes in older drivers: the impact of cognitive impairment and dementia in a population-based study.(Report). ." Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry & Neurology. 21.3 (Sept 2008): 171(12). Expanded Academic ASAP. Gale. Long Island University Libraries. 5 Nov. 2009
Visual trouble, Parkinson disease, dementia, and stroke history were associated with driving cessation. Future dementia was associated with self-reported crashes only. Attentional and executive deficits were associated with both outcomes. The detection of attentional and executive deficits should be included in driving evaluation procedures to improve awareness of these deficits by older drivers.
I may use the material to show why in China we don't have such a large amount of older drivers which is different with USA.

6,471 represents 6,471,000. A crash is a police-reported event that produces injury and/or property damage, involves a vehicle
in transport and occurs on a trafficway or while the vehicle is in motion after running off the trafficway.
4.http://ezinearticles.com/?Car-Crash&id=207358 Car Crash By Kent Pinkerton
There are an estimated 6 million road accidents in the US each year. About half of this number - 3 million people - are injured in these accidents. The injuries may range from minor scrapes to permanent disabilities. The number of mortal casualties in car crashes each year is estimated to be well over 40,000.
Just to show how many car crashes happened every year in US
5.http://ezinearticles.com/?Car-Accident-Statistics&id=125450 Car Accident Statistics
By Eric Morris
Car accident statistics indicate that at least four people involved in car accidents die every hour. These accidents could be due to the fault of the driver, the other driver, or due to a faulty vehicle. The important thing to consider is the number of deaths occurring every day, excluding the people involved in car accidents and sustaining severe personal injuries.
I use the resource to show the results of car crashes to warn drivers to drive safe.

I am very interested in your topic. Do the car crashes have differences between China and The United States? It is a very specific topic. Hope to read your research paper~~~ (Susan Chen)

What is the point for you to show all these car accident statistics?

Isn't it clear enough to all people already that there are a lot of car accidents in US as well as in the world?

Where does the significance of this research paper lie in?
