On my road (Jeeyun Choi)

In 1964, there were many movements which was related with discrimination between the people, especially segregation. It used to be done someone's dead like John F. Kennedy or Martin Luther King Jr.. The main character also lived in that period, so he seems that he really wanted to figure out some kind of solution as a college student in the US. First, he chose the bus as a transportation for the poor. Even though he was white person, he really felt that there were something wrong about opportunity or right of people. He used to read books on the bus during the trip. "The books: Thorean's "walden." Dickinson's poem, whitman's "specimen Days" and Jack Kerouac's "on the road." These all are related with discrimination.
