I disagree the picture of "transportation", because it showed western transportation is bike. But from i see, the western car much more than Eastern like as Britsh, American. It not only doesn't indicate western transportaion is higher level than Eastern. But also It doesn't show the Western country of development faster than Eastern.
From the other picture"sundays on the road". I agree this one, it shows westerners just have few people on the road on sunday, the Eastern people crowded on the road. The majority of westerners would like to stay at home and do some housework or enjoy the personal life, because they like to sperated the work and vacation cleanly, but the easterners would like to go shopping and take part in some public activities in the weekends. Therefore they think it is way to make them happy and relax

Actually the picture does show that in western countries, more cars than bikes, while in eastern countries, more bikes than cars.
As for "Sunday on the road", I am not sure whether western people stay home more or travel out of town more.
Criticizing these pictures is same with criticizing the articles. See what you can do to those opinions in the article.
