Let them sweat (SUHYUNHUH)

When I got back to my room, my roommate was reading some articles seriously so I was really curious about what she was reading. The articles are about sweatshop.
A sweatshop is a working environment with no conditions at all, that are considered by many people of industrialized nations to be difficult or dangerous, and usually where the workers have few opportunities to address their situation. Sweatshop workers often work long hours for little pay, regardless of any laws mandating overtime pay or a minimum wage . Child labour laws may also be violated. (“Sweatshop means”)
Sweatshop is kind of important issue in the world so we should know and think about how sweatshop workers work. Even if we are living in first world or second world we have to think about it. When I got these articles, I really wanted to read and think about it.
There are three articles. The first one talks about sweatshops in a good way, the second one talks about sweatshops in a bad way, and third one talks about sweatshops in a good way as well.

I mostly agree with first article which is “Let Them Sweat”. The title is “let them sweat”. It stimulates my curiosity. This article talks about sweatshops as good. There are some advantages and disadvantages.
There are advantages. First of all, sweatshops are good for providing jobs for people living in the Third World. There are a lot of sweatshops in Third World Counties. Even though sweatshops are considered bad, the people need to work in sweatshops because they need money. They need to buy food, clothes and shelter with money. This is reality. Some people hate to work in sweatshops because they work the whole day and make a small amount of money. “Two billion people in the world make less than two American dollars a day” (By Tom Hayden and Charles Kernaghan)
From this article, workers who are working is sweatshops, earn a really small amount of money, but they have to work even though they hate it because that is only way to live. I would never work in a sweatshop but if I was a person who was living in Third County I definitely would work in a sweatshop because I have to work because I need money so that I can live.
Some people who are working in sweatshops are satisfied with their jobs because even though working is hard and they make a small amount of money, they can still buy stuff they want. In my opinion, their satisfaction from working in sweatshop is enough.
If people do not want to work in sweatshops, they will not get money any other places. Sweatshops are not the only place they can get money, but working in sweatshops in better than working on a farm or being a fisherman.
We benefit from workers who are working is sweatshops because there products can be sold at cheap prices which allows us to live comfortably. If there are no sweatshops, we would not get anything cheaply, so every time we buy something from a Third World County, we have to remind ourselves to thank them for how hard they work for such little money.
There is one thing that I want to mention about fairness.
Mostly female workers in Bangladesh, make caps for retail at the Harvard bookstore for $17. These workers, who often are younger than the Harvard students, are being paid a tenth of 1 percent of the cap’s price in the market. Also in Bangladesh, women receive 5 cents for each $17.99 Disney shirt they sew. (By Tom Hayden and Charles Kernaghan)
From this article, we can know this situation is really unfair for workers. They deserve to get more money than they earn. They should cut and carve their profits. I mean not as much as the head of the company is paid, but they should give workers more money. They cannot keep workers working for such little money.
Governments should figure it out some solution for workers. They cannot just keep them working like that. They should reduce their working time or make workers earn more money. These things can make one county go toward the next generation’s success. Governments have to give workers opportunities to live better so that workers are satisfied with their job and will be happy.
