Last year, Melody went to study language in Berkeley during summer vacation. She was very nervous to face a big country because that was her fist time to go abroad by herself. In there, she met a boy, called Howard. He also came from Taiwan, too. Howard already stayed there for eight months in language center. For one month, they always went out together and talked in the mid-night. Melody little by little fell in love with Howard, but when she noticed, there was only one month left that she could stay in America. They hesitated whether they should get together or not. At that time, their friend, called Kelly. She knew what situation that they were faced, she talked to them” even though time is not enough for you guys, the most important thing is to have good memory from each other.”Later on, they tried not to care about the time, just enjoy the days left. After two weeks, a person told Melody that Kelly got together with Howard. Melody said it was impossible. Kelly was my best friend, and she encouraged her to get together with Howard as well.
Finally the last day was coming; Howard had to stay in America to finish his studies, and move to another city to live. And then Melody had to go back to Taiwan. On that day, Howard took Melody to shopping and had a great time. When they were going to another place, Howard’s phone was ringing, that was his uncle to pick him up. His uncle said he almost arrived. And then they knew that was time to say goodbye. And Howard gave the gift to Melody said” unwrap the gift after leave, please.” When Howard got into his uncle’s car, Melody endured tear and waved hands to say goodbye. After the car was going so far, she could no longer hold back her tear. Then she opened the gift, which was a necklace.
As Melody got off the plane, she got a phone called from Howard. Howard said” sorry, I could not go to airport with you. And Melody said” that’s ok, I understand” and then Howard said” Hope I can see you soon”, Melody said” when I arrive my home, I will use skype to contact you.” From then on, they called each other .But two months later, one day, Melody called Howard, but he did not answer. And another day, Melody called again, but he still did not answer. Melody started to think whether he had an accident. She left message and check msn every day. One week later, he showed up on msn. She was so happy and waited for him to give her message. But a few minutes later, Howard still did not talk to her and then got off line. She cannot understand what was going on? She started to cry and noticed that Howard probably did not want to keep in touch with her anymore. Melody recalled that she just sent a gift to him and also left a message, it wrote” dear, Howard, I will go to visit you in winter vacation. See you soon”. And then she also prepares to go abroad to study with him. And now everything changes.
This year, Melody transfers to America and she tries to contact with Howard. But she already deletes his phone number and also deletes his msn. Suddenly, she finds out he has his own blog. At that time, she notices that Howard deletes the all pictures about her and put many pictures that are about Kelly. Now she finally figures out the reason why Howard does not contact with her, the fact is too mock. Kelly is her best friend in Berkeley and Howard is her lover. Melody believes them but they decide to hide the truth together and lie to her until now. Melody regret that before a person advices her to watch out, but she chose to believe her best friend. Melody thinks that is time to let everything clear. Then she leaves the message and said “hey, how are you? Do you make a new girlfriend? A few days later, she checks his blog and then Howard responds I am fine. Now, I am studying in Santiago with Kelly. Welcome you to visit, by the way, sorry, I do not contact with you for long time and Kelly is my girlfriend now” Melody knows Howard already thinks they are just friend now. Actually, they will not meet each other anymore. Then she gives up contacting with him and forgetting “Howard” this name forever.
In her new school, she makes many friends and also works hard in studies. But she still does not forget “Howard” this person, because she always recalled their love memory in Berkeley.
