People know what is freedom of speech, especially in a free, capitalistic state-America. Depends on this country's culture and revolution, it's not strange to see people here have some kind of opinions like this; the subtle relationship between they and their parents became estranged.

When you received a better education than your parents, you were embarrassed by their lack of education. However, if your parents were better than you, how would they feel? I think most good parents will help you to improve, and even hope you to be better than them. The power to embarrass someone not only gave you.

My parents were better educated, but they did not have time to teach me. I was confused if your parents are famous artists and graduated in a famous university, but they are not good at Maths, how to consider them? or you need all-around parents? or you just want to depend on your parents?

If parents told you, "everything you have learnt from school was all for your futher, not for me."
What will you do? Why some children successed, others would not? It was a true story anyway.

I think the most important thing is learn to apperciate. Parents paid a lot for you, whatever they do, except serious things, and whatever they like, you should respect to them, never feel embarrassed about their poor education and useless. Because one day, you will like them.

This is an idea which I can never agree with. No matter in what kind of situation or at which point, we should always be proud of our parents, even they are lack of education.

They are the people who brought us to the world. They are the people who bring us up. Withour them, we would not have chances to be educated.

When we were a little child, it was our not well educated parents taught us how to walk, how to speak, how to write. They are the first two teachers in our lives.

When I was young, I used to ask my parents academic questions. When I was a teenage, my parents and I discussed academic questions and I will tell them academic knowledge from now on. I am proud of my parents forever.

I think he was just young and confused. He was raised with hardworking, barely educated Spanish parents and when he was introduced to school and the way to escape into education. He didn’t know how to balance the two. I think knew his parents were proud of him, he was trying to find himself, and he didn’t know how to become a little bit of both worlds, without turning his back on either one.

I think our parents are the best teachers for us.

Even though some parent have lower education degree than us our somebody else, they always do best things for their child. What do we learn from them is about the "life". life is the most important thing we should learn to be able to go through. However, that would be stupid to stay at home with parents all day, trying to learn something. ask them, when you need help or important suggestion. because they could been through what you are going to do.

There is no doubt that parents play an important part. If it is so, family should teach us everything.? Of course, they call what is right right, and wrong wrong. and they hope we make a success in life. However, another parents do not like that. For example, my parents make me and my younger brother to decide for ourselves. I think it makes me if I do something I should act on my own responsibility. I cannot be making choices what is good and bad, but I just think parents do not have to teach everything.

Imagination-- Children need imagination. If children didn't train for imagination, they cannot think more and creatively when they get older. When they became adult, they cannot train for imagination, their imagination rather get shorter.
I think 3 things are important. If I have to choose one, I will choose responsibility first. Responsibility is very important for social life. For example, when I was young, I always messed my room. My father said that I have to clean my own room. I think it is the fundamental responsibility for human.

Parents should be the effective role models to their children. This is largely because parents can show commendable examples to their children to follow in daily environment while having meals, having conversation, exercising and cleaning up. Therefore, parents can have significant influences on their children who learn by imitating and observing every word spoken and action by their parents.

Whenever i read this quote it always reminds me of my childhood. Whatever the writer has mentioned here in this quote is absolutely true for me because i have gone through this same situation. After graduating from the school i took admission in the college and i met many students around me with different mentalities. Some are just wanted to enjoy their life having relationships with girls, partying with friends and much more things that give them enjoyment whereas some just wanted to focus on their studies. They don't want to be like those other students and i am also one of them. Now i can realize that i have many different things in me from my classmates. During my schooling, i was very serious about my studies and i was concentrating on my studies only. I was not enjoying my life like other children like playing games, watching movies,etc. In the class i had different opinions on any topics from my other classmates as well as at home from my parents too. I was the favorite student of my teachers and they encouraged me a lot in finding the right path in my life and from that time i decided to be something in life and by keeping that in mind it always kept me away from those extra activities and same kind of response i got from my parents too so i became more and more serious about my studies and i think somewhere insight i was more mature than my other colleagues. Whenever they had talk with me i felt like they still have childish behavior. I know that many students are there who just want to have fun at that time and they think that they will become serious later on but in my opinion it's too hard to do that and if you failed to do so that will be too late for you and you won't achieve whatever you have dreamed of in your life and you will be repenting for that. So the wisest step is to take the right decision at your early age so that it won't be hard for you to accomplish your dream.

This week we read an essay by a classmate in class. After I read that essay, I want to say, no things are perfect, sometimes you can’t make the best of both worlds, you get something and you must lose something. In that essay, the writer said, because she went to a top school, she miss a lot, include love and romance. In a top school, most of students are very hard to study, because the surroundings. Normally, if you don’t have enough ability you cannot go to the top school, except genius, in a top school student, they spent much time for study, so they will lose a lot of things, like the writer said, love and romance. Of course, make the best of both worlds is good, but when we can’t do that, what is your choice? We must consider about that very cautious.

The Greatest Love from Parents

"Supporting children is an obligation for all parents" said my father. Every parents expect their children to be more successful than themselves in the future, so that parents will do whatever they can to help their kids to receive the best education. Some children appreciate what their parants do to them; however, some become arrogant. In the essay "The Achievement of Desire" writen by Richard Rodriguez. When Richard became more knowledgeable than his parents, he was sort of impatient when his parents wanted to help him on his homework. "I'll try to figure it out some more by myself."

It is exactly an inaccurate response for replying to people who are trying to help you. We ought to appreciate our parents offering us a chance to receive education. When Richard said "I'll try to figure it out some more by myself" to his parents, I don't deem that he ever thought abouth what feeling his parents would get when they heard it. If I were in his shoes, I would use an ruphemistic manner to refuse the help from my parents. The more capable, the more humble. I think it is very important for relationships. When we are taken care by parents, we receive a lot from them. One day when we succeed, we can not forget what parents have done to us, we are supposed to requite parents with whatever we can to let them have the best life.

As the writer said that “A primary reason for my success in the classroom was that I couldn’t forget that schooling was changing me and separating me from the life I enjoyed before becoming a student, the high education sometimes separate us from a lot of things. It is a simple realization that ambitions set people apart.
In the article, the author would feel “oddly annoyed when I was unable to get parental help with a homework assignment”. As he became more and more educated, the distance between his parents became longer and longer.
In the real life, people will always feel this way. When I was an elementary school student, my parents could teach me to solve the math problems. However when I became a high school student, their abilities became limited.They could not even solve a math problem which is really easy for me. I also remember once I blamed my mum because she didn’t know how to use the computer even though I had taught her thousands of times.
Though we should admit that in nowadays society the education has become extremely important, the goal for getting a higher education really sets people apart. It is common that these days the high educated people will really look down upon the people who are not well educated. Even among the people who have the same education, the separation is clear. These people will separate themselves from each other. They take each other like competitors, and they are afraid the others will do a better job than themselves. Everyone becomes selfish. People don’t want to share any more.
I hope that we can look back to our young age at the same time when we study further. We really lost a lot of happiness. Education set us apart and we become colder than before. Don’t let the ambition set us apart.

He cannot afford to admire his parents.(How could he and still pursue such a contrary life?)Her permits himself embarrassment at their lack of education.

Some people think we will have an abyss with our parents as higher education as we gain.As the author said he cannot afford to admire his parents.However,I am not agree with that.Because,higher education doesn't mean you can have a better life and doesn't mean you can shame on your family.
First of all,parents,they always have more experiences than us;they are well acquaint with how to live and how to get on well with others.They have so many thing which are well worth admiring and learning for us.
Second,you cannot live in this world without your parents.They gave you the birth and gave you all the material conditions in order to let you gain a better education.Though they sometimes have the opposite ideas and behaviors against you,we can try to communicate with them and try to influence them instead of embarrassing at their lack of education.
Eventually,parents love their children and hope them can live better than themselves,so,they try their best to give us the best suggestions they think and tell us which way we should go further while which we should not.Although sometimes the suggestion sounds not so nice for us,that just a kind of love only from parents to their children.We should respect them even they didn't have so much education.

No Reason for Feeling Shamed

The writer talked about the influence of having high education on the relationship with parents, which I can’t agree with. I feel surprised that writer feels shamed and sad with the low education of his parents. It’s certain that our parents didn’t have education as high as ours, and they personal perspective sometimes can’t catch the trend of society. While as their children, we should pay understanding instead of prejudice, because what parents have experienced is different from us. It’s hard to image that when they are young what they are worried about is how to survive in the hard time; fever people at that time can pay all attention on having education. Compared to us, from we are born, parents have create the high living standard for us, what we should do is just to fulfill our life better, education is the thing that we must accept. While education is not just from the books, sometimes life experience is more crucial for a person’s life. Life experience can’t be easily gained from school education. Although parents didn’t have much knowledge from school, they have a lot of life experience that is more important for a person’s life. Since we have learned a lot of technological knowledge from school, parents are still qualified to be a good teacher.

This week teacher let us read one of our classmate's essay. My feeling is "God is fair to everyone" when you loose something, you must get something. The writer feel regrate about many things like romance, wonderful life and so on. But she also know that she learnt more than others and she did better than others.
I think we should not regret about the past thing, we should look forward. Can we change the thing that has already happened? No we can not.So we do not have the right to regret.

Most of people would like to talk education impact on people. However, last week we talked about how education influenced people in a negative way. The writer who wrote the essay ( I forgot the name of the essay), she said that she felt unhappy because when she was in high school, she studied all the time, and she didn’t experience romance love and something fashionable. So she thought education made her lost many wonderful things like other girls had. According to my own experience, I don’t think about getting education like that bad. I was in a private international high school. We didn’t need to study hard like the students from public school. Therefore, we didn’t have any pressure on study. Also, I had a lot of fun and wonderful memories there. Now, I am in a university, and sometimes I really feel different from others. Although we are in the same teaching environment, and others start from ten, I start from zero. I am not going to say that my situation was not good, and I mean that everything has two sides: if you get some, you have to lose some. The writer didn’t have a special memory in her high school, but she got knowledge and she knew how to study efficiently. This week, we read an essay from a student. In her essay, she mentioned one thing: study too hard has a lot of negative side, one of them is miss a lot of things.

I am agree with the writer about study hard have some negative influence for the students. But I don't think miss a lot of things is one of the negative influence. what I think is the writer can not accept the result after she make the dicision. All of us just a person who have limited ability. There are many possible ways in front of us, most of time we just can choose one of them. Once we made the dicision, we have to accept the result bring from the dicision. Just like you want to do the excellence student in the school, you have to give up many activities and spend more time in study.That is so fair. We can't say it is a negative side of study hard. There are a long time I alway regreted my dicision after I made it. I thought I pick one thing, then lost so many things. I was focus too much on the things i did't pick, then they become better and better in my mind. The decision what I made become worse and worse. I knew what i thought was wrong, I just don't know how to fix it and stop thinking that way. Until one day, I heard a sentence: The real growing up isn't about making the right decision, is about dealing the decision you made and picking yourself up. After that, i don't regret when the problem comes up after made the decision. I won't think too much about if I pick the other way when I made the decision, those problems may not come up. I will focus more on how to dealing those problem when them come up. It was work, I am really feeling better about that. So, don't regret what you lose after you made decision, more focus on what you got.

some parents make their children to have narrower minds. Of course, if their sons or daughters are not mature to make their decision, their parents have to teach and control what is wrong and what is right. however, when they are getting older, their parents have to control what they want to say, they cannot say what is wrong and what is right, becuase it could make them to have wider thinking, or sometimes they cannot have critical thinking.

in my case, when i was young, my parents used to tell me what is wrong and what is right, becasue i didn't know what is good thing or not. but when i was getting old, they stoped to tell me what is wrong and what is right, they just told me a better way to do something. becuase i was mature to decide what is wrong and what is right.

So now, i realized what i have to do to my child later on.

Usually, a history is written by a conqueror. And subjugated people do not have rights of choices. Therefore, the social weak people take education based on “theirs”, the conqueror, point of view. Men, broadly, white men were the strong in our society. Moreover, we, women and colored people, have learnt “their”, white men, thoughts. Although, some of the weak people fight with this problem they are just labeled heterodox people. For example, a feminist and a black human rights activist these names are actually named by white men. Social minorities just claim their rights to get along with all but a society makes them different group of people. Unfortunately, sometimes, an education becomes a good means to make people to fit our, I mean "their"-white men, society.
