Yunfei Cao---some puzzled

I want to talk about some puzzled from my writing.
The first thing, I don't know how to write it by American thought, I am not American, and also my basic education is not American. Facing things, I really don't know how American people think about it. So during my writing, almost time, I write it by my own thought which have been a habbit from my old education. How can I write it by American thought?
The second thing, many times, I found the work I have written is not like my thought before. I don't know why I can't write it like my thought.
The third thing, if I write my essay or modify my essay like what the book tought us, I will find I can't get enough page, because some wonderfu decorations are seen like insignificant. How to make my essay more wonderful?
